Anyone can umpire! We need veteran and rookie umpires. We need baseball and softball umpires. We need home plate and base umpires. We need you. Little League umpires are volunteers. All it takes is the desire to help our children learn the game of baseball and the personal commitment to help umpire a few games a season.
SEPLL and District 2 staff umpires will provide each volunteer with training on rules and mechanics well in advance of your first game. Additionally, mentors are available to provide ongoing training and feedback throughout the season to ensure each umpire is as successful on the field as possible.
Volunteer umpires will receive an umpire's shirt, hat, indicator, plate brush and ball bag.
