The next step in young players' journeys after Tee Ball, Rookie Baseball and Softball introduces live pitching (coaches pitch to their players) and the concept of putouts. The primary goals at the Rookie division are similar to Tee Ball; to instruct children on fundamentals through fun games, and for them to experience the value of being part of a team.
